peter fiorenza

afternoons
A Geraldton local through and through, the self styled man about town is irrepressible when it comes to all things Champion Bay. A sports and music addict, plus a a school teacher, Peter has a social conscience which extends to his involvement as a councillor with the City of Greater Geraldton. If it happens in Geraldton, Peter knows about it and he knows who to talk to to set the story straight. Combine this with his fascination for the world of entertainment and you have a perfect afternoon.

bernie gorringe

technical manager

The song "I've been everywhere." could well have been written for Bernie who has worked and travelled across much of our great country. With years of experience in community radio and an unending passion for music and broadcasting, Bernie is the perfect 'problem solver' behind the scenes. As a great supporter of WA's local music scene expect Bernie to take some on air shifts to bring the best of WA musical artists to you.

CATE JENNINGS

mornings
Cate Jennings, known as “Wacky Cathy” on Geraldton’s 98FM Breakfast Show in 1995, started writing and presenting radio comedy as a uni student, with fellow student and comic Ms Damien O’Doherty. Their duo was called “100 Band Molls in Bare Feet” ( occasionally “100 Band Molars and their Dentist.” ) Rock icon Dave Warner invited them to perform with him at the Adelaide Festival Fringe and Perth venues and campuses. Cate enjoyed a stint on 96FM with both Fred Botica and Sydney duo “Club Veg.” She hosted 990AM Vision Australia Radio’s breakfast show on Thursdays for a decade, before returning to Jambinu and discovering Radio Geraldton. She’s enjoying being back in the saddle, presenting the Morning Show, at a “far more civilised hour” than the Breakfast shift.
